Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the FAQ section of the Its box office forum! Here you'll find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the forum and how to use it.
  • Why do we have to register again? (Old Users)
  • We understand that having to register again on the new site may be frustrating for some of our users, and we apologize for the inconvenience. The reason we were unable to transfer user accounts from the old site to the new one is due to technical limitations. The old user database was bloated, and the user data had a lot of dependencies like posts, comments, and other features that made transferring the users to the new site difficult.

Additionally, the passwords of the old user database were stored in hashes, which means that they were encrypted and cannot be decrypted. As a result, we cannot simply transfer the old passwords to the new site, which is why we require users to create new passwords when they register again.

Despite these challenges, we are excited to launch the new site and hope that you will consider registering again to continue participating in our community. We have made significant improvements to the new site that we believe will enhance your experience and provide new opportunities for engagement. Thank you for your understanding and support.
