Ajay Devgn recently launched the trailer of Bholaa which also sees the reunion of the actor and Tabu after their last box office success Drishyam 2. The two actors were seen interacting with everyone at the trailer launch and when Ajay was asked about the box office predictions of the Kaithi remake, the actor revealed that he hoped that films will do well after the stupendous success of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan.
Readers would be aware that Pathaan has now become a benchmark for Bollywood films with it becoming the most successful film box-office wise in Bollywood. Considering the way the film has enjoyed its grand run, Ajay Devgn too hopes that Bholaa will experience the same love from the audience. When Ajay was asked about his box office expectations from the film, the actor, “The film is currently in its post-production stage and the finishing touches are yet to be given. So I haven’t really thought about its box office collection.” He added, “Pathaan has done fabulous and excellent business and hopefully, fingers crossed that all films that release after that will do well too.”
For the unversed, Bholaa is a remake of the Karthi starrer Kaithi, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is expected to be the first part of LCU which is being created by the South filmmaker. As for the Hindi version, it will feature Ajay Devgn as a prisoner who helps the police in order to finish his sentence early and reunite with his daughter. Tabu will once again be seen in the role of a cop in the film.
Co-starring Amala Paul, Deepak Dobriyal, among others, the film is directed by Ajay Devgn himself and is slated to release on March 30.
