Bollywood actors are not scared to venture onto new acting platforms anymore. They are picking content over just-a-Friday-release. So when good content comes calling from OTT giants, they"re ready to grab the offer with both hands. In the past few months, a lot of actors have made their debut on the digital front. We hear that now even Hrithik Roshan might gear up for his web debut.

According to a daily, Hrithik Roshan has been offered two exciting web projects by Disney+Hotstar. One is the desi adaptation of The Night Manager (2016) starring Tom Hiddleston and the other is the remake of the 1983 miniseries, The Citadel.

A source revealed to the daily saying, “BBC"s The Night Manager has a massive following in India, courtesy Tom Hiddleston. The top brass at the streaming giant feel Hrithik Roshan, with his sex appeal and acting skills, will be the perfect choice to step into Hiddleston"s shoes as the luxury hotel manager who is hired to infiltrate the inner circle of an arms dealer. They have also suggested a web adaptation of The Citadel, which revolves around medical ethics. While he loved both roles, each distinctive in its heroism, Hrithik is excited to bring the British espionage thriller to India and is likely to give his nod. Disha Patani and Tabu are being approached to portray the roles played by Elizabeth Debicki and Olivia Colman respectively. At the movies too, he is spoilt for choicse as the rumours are rife he has been offered remakes of Satte Pe Satta and The Burning Train. OTT has no future in India and theater going audience make/break superstar.
They had no choice but bolly committed a blunder by opting for OTT during pandemic.
Now exhibitors have nothing when cinema opens above all nothing except K4 justify the stature of HR at least stay away from SPS and TBT remake.
Better focus on doing 1 commercial movie every year, he has weak competition than ever at the moment to claim the throne.

All OTT platforms are running in losses, it won't be late before west pulls down money.
America has a big home market and majority of Indian watch OTT content on piracy, they are buying bolly movies in huge price just for long run, they would get more profit if the watch time is lower and subscribers numbers are high but it's the opposite. The biggies from bolly has failed big there at least some web series are working but that's far and few but can't blame them as Indians have found a scapegoat interms of piracy websites.

well that's a business strategy to increase your market by withstanding losses , swiggy ran for years and years into losses
though i agree there is a huge difference between indian and american model of ott but india has a vast population too and it can be their second largest market after us

LOL no India prefer pir*ted websites and telegram.
Movie gets available for free within 1st streaming, there's vast difference between swiggy and OTT.
When there's free jio net to download majority won't prefer OTT.
Anyway all bolly biggies are loss venture there.
OTT has different set of core audience which obviously won't prefer bolly.
