The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has a bought a few things into the fore with nepotism being at the top of this list. But as mentioned before this is not really a debate as its a soceity problem and the film industry is a part of society. Pushing friends and family forward is not a crime and in some cases it makes economical sense also. It maybe at the expense of the others but thats the case in every field.

The issue of blind items has also come to the fore. These are negative articles about an artist done by the media to paint a certain picture without naming the actual artist. The name is withheld as there is little proof and it the articles screw the artist. The writers who do such things are scum and now its the public bringing this to the fore so the industry has a chance to disassociate itself from this scum.

The death of Sushant Singh Rajput is not something that is discussed in all households of India but in the digital world and social media its become a monster and the film industry decided to be a part of this digital and social media world so has to take note. The industry did not have to be a part of this world as cinema is about that Friday and the lights going out and that audience making and breaking careers so even without digital and social media it would have prospered but this is a story for another day.

Now the scenario is that the industry is in the digital world and so is the media scum. The main question will be is when things normalise after Covid 19 will it be business as usual with actors associating themselves with this scum which indulges in this sort of journalism of fellow artists which will show these actors in very bad light especially as many of these blind items were of an actor who is no longer alive. Common sense says they will stay away as they will be asking for trouble if they dont with huge negativity. Its also there that negativity can never harm a good product but why take the risk of negativity that will come because of the scum.

Some of this media scum may even give reviews so the PR companies will bring them in for promotion for that extra star which is actually worth nothing as most of the audience does not care for reviews. The biggest blockbuster ever Sholay got poor reviews, the biggest Hindi blockbuster of the last two decades Gadar got bad reviews (being a patriotic film probably a big reason) and last year Housefull 4 got the worst reviews and ran in cinemas for 9 weeks and then smashed all records on television. On the other side a poor film like Gully Boy which is hardly liked outside 3 cities gets better reviews than a much liked Kabir Singh. Forget Kabir Singh it gets better reviews than Avengers Endgame and this can only happen in India. Basically this is the worth of reviews to the audience who go by their own likes and dislikes.

The media which gives stars to film which are hardly liked is dum and the one which indulges in blind articles of artists is scum. Some will actually be both combined, scum and dum. The industry will have to accept there is a lot of negativity towards it at the moment but it has to remember its about the Friday and not what is said and that could be the media, social media or elsewhere. Still the industry will have to step carefully when films return as the last thing the major stars can do is use the media which was screwing Sushant Singh Rajput without actually naming him as its pretty certain that the digital world will know who the culprits were be it people or portals and it will show industry in more bad light. There will also be some who were very negative on Sushant Rajput while he was alive and then gone the opposite as the wind was flowing that way but social media will also have caught this. Its weird that these artist associations are quick to ban people involved in MeToo and some without accusations being proved and even Pakistani artistes who are pretty much harmless but nothing is done about the scum media.

On a lighter note this website has also done many negative articles mainly due to the bad cinema dished out in the last 10-15 years so had to go through a seventeen year history to make sure there were no blind type articles and thankfully there were none towards the industry. Funnily enough two did come to notice a few years back but it was not related to the industry as such. These were about someone who did not name this website but called it an ill informed source so you have to pay back in the same way and not name the person but point out what they do. The second one came as the guy actually responded to the first one with some studipty These articles can be read again below.

Didn't expect the article about blind items.

Anyways. there is a section of public which thrives for blind items. There will not be blind items if there was no demand for it in the first place. If they stop, people will search for it elsewhere. Film stars life is a mystery to the most irrespective of social media exposure and people [fans or not] will be inclined to know more and juicier the content, more consumption.

Nobody will care if for the next 4 months only news about Salman is him doing rice plantation & other farming clubbed with charity. They will want more. Similarly to every other actor/actress. Would people care for Kangana if she is not bashing others and trying to be on the limelight?

Look at how Shah Rukh is dragged for Pakistan connection when there was literally no other news about him. They'll eventually find something to get more view count / trp & that is all.

Even Sushant's death. except the agenda filled paid bots, now there is literally no mention of Salman Khan. The focus is on Rhea and Mahesh Bhatt, beyond them the immediate focus will be on KJo and ofcourse as this article highlighted, Rajeev Masand's blind items.

Nobody will care if the news about stars is,
1. They are doing this film.
2. They completed so & so film.
3. They were chief guest in so xyz event.

We all know what actually sells. Otherwise Amitabh went to urinate by himself in the hospital wouldn't have been news.

The real scum is basically public. Look at the ones wishing Amitabh's death, Salim Khan's death.. Ofcourse these people will learn only after the death in their own families. Everybody is a scum on social media is infact true.

BOI is jealous that taran adarsh gets the limelight instead of them when boi has network for collections all over india but its also their fault they act like a some illuminati organisation headed by the owner who doesn't come out in public , they should take a note from indicine which wasalso abox office related site but very interactive and engaging unlike them

Though i agree taran adarsh simply acts as producer's puppet

Boi are fine as far as collections are concerned, commentary is something which they should avoid doing. This article (like the others) is idiotic as usual

lol corona is the best thing that happened to the industry otherwise all big films would be disasters this year
now when one year later people forget about these bad guys in bollywood
they can again start releasing movies in theatres

I dont know what issue this illterate website has with blind items. Its gossip which is harmless and meant to be a source of entertainment. Those who take it otherwise are idiots.

Mostly India has population which is illiterate and they enjoy stuff like HF4 and Baaghi 3, no surprises there that the former broke records.

''gossip which is harmless''........proving somebody to be a womanizer or skirt chaser is not at all harmless

Baadshah, nobody is proving anything mate. Blind items are only speculating somebody could be a womanizer or skirt chaser.

The concerned people about whom its being written are thick skinned enough to realize that this is part and parcel of the industry.

rehn dy bhai.....continuous bashing even if it happens from your relatives you won't tolerate.....i won't......just because you want to become a Star does not mean you will develop thick skin for everything.....apna SRK talwaar ly kr journalist ki taangoon mein ghusa dainay wala bnda hai......Salman bhi nhn control kr pata planned attacks......it happens with everybody.....very few will be bold or besharam to not take it upon themselves after a point if there is image is being tarnished on a continuous basis
