'A Hard Day' was based on a homicide detective who accidentally kills a man with his car and tries to hide his body with his mother's on the day of her funeral

Red Chillies recently bought the rights to 'A Hard Day' at a reportedly good price. If things work out then Shah Rukh Khan might go ahead with the project, at least as the producer of the film, stated a report on Pinkvilla.

"Shah Rukh and his team really loved watching the Korean thriller A Hard Day. So much so that he got his team to buy the Hindi adaptation rights for the film at a good price. If all goes well, his production house Red Chillies Entertainment will be making the film soon," a source informed the portal.

2017 it was reported RAJ & DK had signed an agreement with KROSS PICTURES, original producers of A HARD DAY to produce the Hindi Remake.

Thomas Kim, CEO Kross Pictures added, “At Kross Pictures our greatest commitment towards our audience is to ensure quality and concept driven content. Since 2015, we are steadily moving towards building a strong footprint in India, which is an important market for us. Post TE3N and Miracle In Cell No. 7 (Hindi remakes under the production banner) – A Hard Day will be an apt film to go with. Raj & DK are known for their unique and quirky style of filmmaking, and in partnering with Raj & DK, we believe we have found the right sensibilities and passion to remake this as a big entertainer for 2018.”
