Avengers - Endgame had a solid third weekend with collections of 13,75 crore nett which takes its total to 348.50 crore nett. The film would have seen 30% plus growth on Sunday if it was not for IPl final and elections which would have take it to 350 crore nett. Still the loss here on Sunday hardly matters as the job was done long time back for the film.

This drops are there but as the film is coming of such high levels the collections themselves are still pretty good. It is probably heading for another 70% plus drop in week three and the lifetime number for the film is probably looking to be 365 crore nett now which is a 60% gain in NETT collections from the last film though footfalls will be just 20% more. The collections of Avengers - Endgame till date are as follows.

Week One - 2,58,37,00,000

Week Two - 76,28,00,000 apprx

Friday - 2,75,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 5,50,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 5,50,00,000 apprx

Third Weekend - 13,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 3,48,40,00,000 apprx

all this and 2 cr footfalls won't be achieved. All hail ticket prices

When we say up the ante, it's mostly about the initial that EndGame took, not because of its risk collection.
We ask knew that it's risk collection has a ceiling, but didn't knew at what was ceiling of initial, turns out that it made 50 crs opening on non holiday a normal.
And here Bollywood goes gaga over 30-35% opening and BOI is giving 55-60% openings as Excellent/Bumper.
Which was the last Khan movie too which opened really big? Even TZH did comparatively less, and TOH not crossing 50 crs on biggest holiday of country, don't get me start on SRK.

The thing is those Damn Khans had their monster openings back when there was no GST and ticket hikes.

I can bet you anything that all things considered, HNY, ETT, PRDP (It can even match endgame if adjusted for inflation) and Dhoom 3 would open bigger than Endgame. Of course they would need a holiday as you just can't top the "culmination to a 20+ movie epic saga" gimmick. You just can't.

Yeah, but didn't EG released in lesser screens? And before you say ATP, above comment just showed how AATP of EG was only bit more than a big Bollywood festival release on the Opening Day.
And the Holiday factor as well.

And the point is they had those opening back then, but we are talking about present, because if you go even more before than ETT, HNY, D3 then you'll see even more movies getting big initials and even more of we go further back.
Isn't that why we say that Bollywood is on downside.

Besides it's not undermining Khans, it's just a problem with Bollywood in general sense, infact Khans are actually holding it, atleast 2 are.

And that problem is, Bollywood works on "Hype" but not on "Craze".

Who said it hasn't crossed 2cr footfalls yet? It crossed 2cr footfalls at end of Week 2. 3rd weekend added another 10 lakhs.

370cr max from the looks of it. Dangal is pretty much out of bounds now.
