Mirror had recently reported (February 20) that Shahid Kapoor will join hands with Raja Krishna Menon to turn producer with a biopic on Manipuri boxer Ngangom Dingko Singh. Now, we have learnt that Shahid has signed another project which will take him across the country on a bike and will go on the floors by December.
A source informed Mirror that the action-packed journey requires the actor to perform lots of stunts. “He will start bulking up for the role and will be sporting multiple looks,” adds the source.
Even off screen, Shahid has been a bike enthusiast and is the proud owner of several hot wheels. His latest acquisition reportedly cost him Rs 18 lakh. “Biking is his passion and he is thrilled that he will finally get to drive a mean machine on the screen,” says the source, adding that the actor has already started his prep, hiring a trainer who rides with him daily for a couple of hours. The project is in the casting stage and the search for a director and a leading lady is on.
Shahid is currently filming Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh, the Hindi remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy, in Mumbai.
“He has around nine days of shooting left, including the climax scenes with Kiara Advani. The team plans to wrap up the shoot by March-end,” the source says
