Salman Khan to join hands with Karan Johar. Salman Khan Films to co-produce Dharma Productions upcoming film directed by Dostana Director Tarun Mnsukhani.
While the trade was set to witness two giants, Salman Khan and Karan Johar joining hands for Karan Malhotra’s Shuddhi, things did not work out later on due to which Salman Khan had to opt out of the much anticipated film. However, now we hear that though the two are not collaborating for a film, Karan Johar is in talks with Salman Khan to co-produce one of upcoming films under Dharma Productions, which will be directed by Tarun Manshukhani who last directed Dostana.
According to report by 9XE,
“KJo dropped by to meet Salman before his court hearing. which granted him interim bail. Later, KJo asked Salman to play the lead in Abhishek Varman’s period drama Kalankk- which hasn’t made any headway yet. Salman Khan Films and Dharma Productions will co-produce Tarun Mansukhani’s next, which won’t be a sequel to Mansukhani’s 2008 hit Dostana but a fresh script with romance at its core.”
This ambitious co-production is expected to roll in the first quarter of 2016.
